German musician known for his incorporation of sounds from the '40s and '50s. He scored a hit with 1999's "Mambo No. 5 (A Little Bit of...)." In 1999 he released his debut album A Little Bit of Mambo, which peaked at No. 3 both in Bega's native Germany and the U.S.
